Laura Silva -Reyes
Research Assistant
Laura holds a Bsc in Genetics and Cell Biology from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France) and the University of Granada (Spain) where she studied for one year as an Erasmus student. She went back to Lyon 1 to start a master in Genetics but with a one year specialization in Infectiology. During these two years, she first worked on a transcription factor involved in the development of drosophila before joining Sanofi Pasteur. This last project consisted in studying mucosal immunology in the gut and determining the immune response to a new vaccine against an intestinal pathogen. After a short time working on the development of tests for genetic diseases in dogs, she decided to go back to immunology and joined the Oxford Vaccine Group in June 2014.
