Oxford Vaccine Group is hosting two influenza vaccination update training sessions. The NHS England Screening and Immunisation Team (Thames Valley) are supporting OVG with the delivery of the programme. A summary update on shingles, pneumococcal (adult), Men ACWY and pertussis in pregnancy vaccination will also be included.

 Who is the event for?

This training is aimed at healthcare professionals who already as part of their role administer or promote the following immunisations; influenza, shingles, pneumococcal (adult), Men ACWY and pertussis in pregnancy.  For example, practice nurses, district nurses, school nurses and midwives.

What will the event involve?

  • Sessions will include influenza vaccination of children, adults and clinical risk groups, shingles, pneumococcal, Men ACWY in primary care and pertussis vaccination in pregnancy.  Practical issues around the administration of these vaccines will also be discussed
