The Lambe TEAM

The Lambe Team - Vaccine Immunology for Emerging & Outbreak Pathogens

We design, evaluate and deliver vaccines to stop epidemics before they become pandemics. Our team runs early- to late-phase clinical studies and deep immune‑profiling to generate the evidence on safety and immunogenicity that moves vaccines from concept to clinic.

Our work spans outbreaks and emerging threats, including Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, Ebola and other filoviruses, influenza, Junín virus, Lassa fever, and Nipah virus. The team was integral in the delivery of the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID‑19 vaccine and since then has worked on a number of outbreaks; WHO has selected our Ebola and Marburg candidates for use in recent outbreaks.

We are equally focused on ensuring vaccines work for everyone who needs them. Older adults and those in underserved settings can respond differently to vaccination. Through our collaborative work, we are defining the immune memory, mucosal responses and correlates of protection that can guide better, more equitable next‑generation vaccines.

Our strength is collaboration - bringing science with clinical insight to better prepare for future outbreaks and to make vaccines more effective and accessible for all.
