Julia has obtained her medical degree and completed specialist training in Infectious Diseases in Brazil. She currently works as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Oxford Vaccine Group, actively involved in a range of clinical trials exploring vaccine development including human challenge models. Her current role as lead clinician focuses on Experimental Human Pneumococcal Challenge (EHPC) studies designed to improve vaccines against Streptococcus pneumoniae, with a specific emphasis on Serotype 3.
