Tatiana Codreanu

DPhill Student

Tatiana Codreanu is a current DPhil student in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Oxford, in the Daniela Ferreira group. She holds a Master’s degree in Genomic Medicine from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science.

Her research interests lie in molecular biology, immunology, and translational medicine, with an early background in gene therapy that shaped her fascination with molecular mechanisms underlying health and disease. She is a contributor to Molecular Biology of Cancer: Mechanisms, Targets, and Therapeutics book (Oxford University Press), 6th edition.

Her PhD focuses on understanding age-dependent immune responses to live-attenuated influenza vaccination, and on how viral - bacterial interactions in the upper respiratory tract shape immunity in young children and older adults.
